Q: Which companies do you see leading the way in technology, Internet companies, and telecommunications and network equipment manufacturers?

JB: In general technology, 3Com Corp. (COMS), Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO), Intel Corp. (INTC), JDS Uniphase Corp. (JDSU), Motorola Inc. (MOT), Nokia (NOK), Nortel Networks Corp. (NT), and Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN).

In telecommunications, we would also include Spectra Diode Laboratories Inc. (SDLI), Lucent Technologies Inc. (LU), Bell Atlantic Corp. (BEL), MCI WorldCom Inc. (WCOM), Global Crossing Ltd. (GBLX), and International Business Machines (IBM).

Q: Joe, what would be two of your favorite tech stocks to pick up if they continue to go down/become a bargain at this juncture?

JB: Two technology stocks, among many, that are attractive for current purchase are Intel and Lucent Technologies.
