Phil, my reading of what Dave Webb has posted on this thread leads me to the conclusion
that he has already taken a very hard and firm stand based on the rule of law Mongolian
has told the world that it will obey by in acordance with foreigners also using that
same in they dealings.

Not sure if my above words convey what I'm tring to say, so let me copy your

<<... taking a pittance for Bumbat and just walking away.>>

and say that this is not in Dave Webb's or MGR/TDC's possible future
to the point that the country of Mongolia thru the front of MAC or the bank
would have to out in the open steal as in rip off Bumbat from us if they
want to obtain it without just compensation reflected by what the legal situation
states as due process.

To make my own personal view more clearer let me state that this company TDC has
only one objective as pertains Bumbat, which is to obtain what is legally due TDC thru
the agreements between TDC, when as MGR, and the MAC situation.

My thoughts to words is scattered too much as once again those voices in my
head are in conflict with my thoughts.

Bottom line, I see MAC & the Bank & the Mongolian Government & a collection
of a small number of important Mongolian citizens as a single collection, a group, that runs
the country. If Mongolia has a population of 1 million persons, this group is under 1,000
with about 100 deciding 90% of what happens in the country. Those of MAC
I include in this top 100 and understand that eventhought some in this 100 disagree
strongly with the MAC crowd, they are of equal influence and a stalemate is present.

Once again I feel Dave Webb NOW has TIME on TDC's side, as we can move
this company forward while the MAC crowd will feel heat for not allowing
Bumbat to reopen if the price of gold increases.

I see no chance Dave Webb will take a pittance for a settlement to Bumbat.

Thats the good news for old mgr to tdc share holders.
Its also the bad news because that means Mongolia may be forces to steal,
thru breaking the laws they accepted, seize Bumbat. But for this to happen
is as you say, sending a bad message to the foreign investment community.
Also as bad news here, TDC can wait out the MAC crowd, meaning you as
an old mgr investor will see no settlement for years.

But we is ahead of ourselves,
need price of gold to increase for real,
and Uncle Sam of USA can sell Fort Knox gold cheap and drive down the
price of gold for a long time.
