there is speculation in medical circles that the current huge market in video continuing medical education will become available over local cable in the next 18 months, presumabl via vod. over 500k doctors currently required to take 50 hours of course work per year to maintain insurance, certification,or license. video courses are widely used to accomplish this but process is cumbersome and expensive, but less so than traveling to meeting etc. typically a 30 credit course costs about $500 to purchase. it seems to me that this another potential incentive for cable systems to choose ccur as ccur is only company with experience in the academic use of server technology (wake forrest, olympus etc. in any event i feel it is very positve for video server companies that new uses seem to appear every month.
