Ike,

Thanks so much! I tried since Friday to get an understandable interpretation of what was happening Lee lead me to the term - GZ was very helpful in digging for further information. Lee had mentioned that you had posted on this anomaly in 1997 or 98 thanks for the clear explaination.

Best to you!
John

Ike,

Forgot to ask, I see that futures are now back in the driver seat .. regarding correction comment. What would be the time frame for the anomaly to reverse, and is 1 day trading in reverse or backwardation a non-event?

Thanks
John

Good Day IKE: very interested in your "Idea of the Day" on VOD
Would you buy calls near term to play the indexers buy-in over the next few weeks? Is February expiry too close to capture the potential gain, or maybe March/April would be preferable?

The last time I had a play like this, when ARM Holdings was added to the FTSE 100, it had a nice runup with the addition to the index.
Thanks for the "Idea".

FWIW: Point and Figure charts show very strong support for VOD at 53-54 area, and it did bounce off of this support this AM.
Belated good wishes for your new enterprise; have a cyber-cocktail on me<ggggg>
Regards,
James
