Message 12796575 Downtown CHI is real vulnerable due to all these tunnels that were first put in to haul coal downtown for the building boilers. Then forgotten until Al Capone used them to haul in brewskies to the cat houses and speak easies. Then more or less forgotten until a contractor drove some pilings into the Chicago River and cracked a tunnel wall and who knows how many billions of gallons of Lake Michigan ran into the building basements (guess where utility rooms are?). -g- Anyway, I've been told they will be back up in 20 minutes.
