takeover rumors..they are about, yahoo..others posting or yearning for any news!!! WSJ, has article about the Tech merger mania, and lists a few..I know of a good little company that they could take out..enots!

Akamai said it will acquire Intervu in a $2.8 billion stock swap that
creates a streaming-media giant.

Corel agreed to acquire Inprise in a $2.44 billion deal that aims to
create
a powerhouse based on the much-hyped Linux operating system.

Lucent will buy Ortel in a transaction valued at about $2.95 billion. The
telecommunications-equipment giant said the deal will help it focus on
building networks for services such as Internet telephony and high-speed
Net access.

Kana Communications agreed to purchase Silknet Software for about $3.53
billion in stock.

absolutely! I already can communicate with my hospital digitally and receive dignostic images and lab data. It is only logical to assume there will be major advances.
