takeover rumors..they are about, yahoo..others posting or yearning for any news!!! WSJ, has article about the Tech merger mania, and lists a few..I know of a good little company that they could take out..enots! ************* TECHNOLOGY ALERT from The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition. Feb. 7, 2000 Akamai said it will acquire Intervu in a $2.8 billion stock swap that creates a streaming-media giant. Corel agreed to acquire Inprise in a $2.44 billion deal that aims to create a powerhouse based on the much-hyped Linux operating system. Lucent will buy Ortel in a transaction valued at about $2.95 billion. The telecommunications-equipment giant said the deal will help it focus on building networks for services such as Internet telephony and high-speed Net access.
