Rogers and Videotron are merging, creating North America's third largest BB internet provider. Rogers will now have 47% of total homes passed in Canada. They have always been a much stronger @HOME partner than Videotron. The media spin is positive and @HOME/cable internet is getting most of the attention.

Of course the CRTC still has to approve the deal. And of course the CEO of Rogers has an acquaintance on the CRTC who will be voting... his ex wife. Think that is good or bad? I wonder how she voted on open access... I love this country.

Regards
Jay

PS. Quebec has language laws. For example, we used to have a department store in Canada called Eatons. That's english. In Quebec, it had to be called Eaton. English on signs can only be a 1/2 the size of the French. So i wonder, will people be getting Rogers@Maison?
