Attention Business/Technology Editors:

Goldstake's management software scores on a power play at NHL All Star Game

TORONTO, Feb. 7 /CNW/ - Goldstake Information Technologies Inc.'s
(Goldstake) retail software solution, e-pos tech, turned in an excellent
performance during NHL all-star week in Toronto. The software was used in all
merchandise sales and transactions relating to the Maple Leafs and NHL Teams
at the NHL All Star Game on February 6, 2000.
Preventing the fraudulent sale of collectibles, which is a big and
growing concern for all professional sports organizations, is just one of the
product's enhancements. Goldstake's e-pos tech solution provides an Internet
infrastructure solution to any Business Enterprise that enables clients or
customers to conduct their business in a personalized and secure online
environment.
An Internet-enabled point-of-sale system, e-pos tech utilizes database
server technology (Microsoft SQL 7.0 and Oracle) to provide online users
access to inventory, customer, vendor, purchasing, receiving and order
information from a single server source. In addition, e-pos tech represents an
ideal solution for the thousands of North American companies that provide
on-line services to customers but who lack the ability to integrate these
services with back-office functions. The system can perform back-office
functions for order fulfillment and can be tied into existing order entry
systems such as online shopping carts and general ledger.
As well, e-pos tech offers instant order creation. Sales orders are sent
directly to the client's supplier, totally eliminating the need for order
creation by the client.
"Business to business e-commerce is the primary focus for e-pos tech. It
is designed to replace current EDI models altogether by linking companies
directly to suppliers, creating a "just-in-time" environment for all
transactions and associated documentation," said Robert Cleaver, President and
CEO of Goldstake Explorations Inc.
The current version of e-pos tech is installed with the Toronto Maple
Leafs, the Calgary Flames and the Toronto Blue Jays, plus over 200 other
retail and wholesale sites across Canada. It is the most widely used system in
health food stores in Canada. The latest version of e-pos tech is in Windows
98 and NT formats.
Goldstake Explorations Inc. is listed on The Toronto Stock Exchange -
Symbol GXP. Goldstake Information Technologies Inc. (G.I.T.) is a wholly owned
subsidiary of GXP.
