It looks as if anything can be discussed here, and I wondered if you had any views on an e-mail that I recently received from someone whom I had never heard of. It goes as follows (the "poem" mentioned must be the end of Joyce's "Ulysses"):

I am simply trying to locate a poem that came to me years ago as a
marriage gift to myself and my former husband. I remember very little
of the poem, but it made a big impression on me that has lasted through
the years (obviously the words didn't stick). The title may have been
'Yes', but really I have no recollection. I will give you the few words
that I do remember and hope that you will recognize it and will be able
to tell me the author.

And he held my breasts all firm (?),
And he asked me if I will, yes.

This is all I remember of the main poem, but the ending was similar to
this:

And yes. I said yes, I will. Yes.

I realize that is not much to go on, and I'm not sure of it's popularity
at the time, but if you don't recognize it, will you ask around. I'm
hoping 'someone' will remember it.

Thank you so much,
