Isn't it odd that the left and the right meet in a system called totalitarianism.

Not odd at all. There is a huge amount of vested interest in perpetrating the "political spectrum" scam, as it's currently defined. A true spectrum would place freedom at one end and statism at the other.

I'll desist from further OT postings on this thread, although I do consider MSFTs legal situation, and the political environment that spawns it, to be of direct relevance to the companies future (and stock price).

Dear Mr. Dowd:

Hmm, how about this?:

Thomas Klinect, president of TPI Inc., a privately held consulting firm specializing in UNIX-to-Windows NT migration, recently chose Interix to help the Internal Revenue Service replace aging UNIX systems with Windows NT-based systems. Klinect chose Interix as the fastest, most cost-effective method to move a large, mission-critical, legacy UNIX application to Windows NT.

"Interix provided all of the UNIX functionality necessary to efficiently move the code to Windows NT,"

What's up with Seattle? The demented are taking over.

Thought it was typical for the Reuters correspondent to misprint Gates' contribution to his foundation -- $20 million instead of $20 billion.
