what will be your conservative target till JAN 2001

tony, I cannot look out that far into the future. I am just looking for about 300 by no later than may---ie 150 after the split. Basically agree with the charts as presented by someone on the street.com on the weekend.

Considering the way the stock is behaving lately (not so great), i would say close to 300 before the split is not unrealistic. Factor in a lot of Furukawa selling and the stock looks really good to me. I actually bought more around 201 range today. Getting bullish on the short term prospects.

Unfortunately, momentum investing is here to stay in small and large caps--especially the large caps. Look at Cisco--running up in a big way ahead of earnings. I expect to see something similiar in JDSU ahead of the split. That is just the way it is.

In the meantime, i love what i am seeing in the stock price movement in JDSU.

good luck
