Why is the ask price at 72.5 on DLJ and 73 on the real time quote board? All that means is there is an ECN willing to sell at that price. Once the market is closed, the market makers don't show up on the ask. Consequently, if there aren't any ECN's on the ask near the closing price, you see the first ECN. It doesn't mean squat. Jay

The best ask on NASDAQ after hours is $72.5! quotes.nasdaq-amex.com Maybe AMAT or somebody is thinkin about takin a run at the company. The stock is so far undervalued relative to the market peer group, earnings and fundamentals it's a joke. Somebody's pants are way down around their ankles.
