The beauty of LPTHA's announcement is that they now have available distribution channels in the asian market....Hikari (40% owned by Nikon) can take them deep into markets that a newcomer would have to chip and scrape away at for a considerable period of time.
I am looking to the JP Morgan communication conference this week for our next move....yes, that JP Morgan that joined in the LC second....I expect earnings to be a non-issue, except for the potential unvailing of alliances and projections.
Thanks again for the alert in the single digits on this one, Rande.

Sounding Off....my port is up over 80% on the year (90k to 165k).

"If you are new here and are not in LPTHA. . .you are late. . .it is probably best to wait for the next one. . . we have plenty of great plays offered by our leaders here. . . ."

Why?

If its going to 100+ +splits, then doesn't J6P still have time to get a triple your money pick with LPTHx?

Rande:
I agree that a newcomer may be "late" to lptha given it has increased tremendously since first brought to the thread, but what is late about buying a 36 dollar stock that could easilly see 100 this year?
Just a thought.

EDIT:
Sorry, I didn't see that a full discussion of this issue has already taken place!

Rande,

Thanks for all your help via these boards. Question, I have a very large stake in CSCO and it sounds as if LPTHA,of which I also have a significant stake, is in direct competition with CSCO. Are the routers you spoke of the same for both companies?

I can't see CSCO allowing themselves to be driven out by LU
or LPTHA or anyone else for that matter. I sold 1200 shares of LU on the bet that CSCO would dominate where the two compete. I know there are equal opinions to each company but my real interest would be CSCO vs. LPTHA. I thank you or anyone else for their input. Mark Brown.
