I am just making a guess on the 10:80 number, but I do know that the majority of items sold on eBay are by sellers who list dozens to hundreds of items every week.

Likewise, there are some who are VERY ACTIVE Buyers, including myself. I have bought in excess of $50,000 off of eBay auctions in the past two years.

And don't forget that there is a lot of turnover. For example, I have probably resold $30,000 of the $50,000, and of course, I resold it on eBay.
