Your view of valuation is myopic thats all I was trying to point out. There are no "safe" investments, including bonds, the scenario that I painted took your bond "valuation " of 100B to 57.2B, oh great, your going to make 6.5B but lost 43B. that's like jumping off a 100 story high rise and at the 25 th floor saying: "so far so good".

There are a lot of companies out there that need some valuation sense knocked into them such as the perennial money loser Amazon well before QCOM. Your view would have had investors out of great companies like CSCO, MSFT years and years ago. There are too many positive things in the works for this company.

Disclaimer: I have reduced some of my position in QCOM based on market skitishness in the near term, not based on anything negative to Q.
