thanks Rande, and actually CIEN is in my IRA... so no capital gains taxes... however, it's with a full service broker, so commission is high... but I like the fact that they let me buy even if I did not have the money in the account right then... they only require the money to be in the account by settlement date...

Rande, I trade sometimes along the lines you described... have had my share of luck and pain... and I keep looking for securities to trade... currently, all I have, are stocks I like and want to hold...

and by the way, I was going to sell late last week, and my broker advised against it (my broker has changed last month), he said it has the potential to go much higher, and you never really know if it will pull back below the level where you sold it... and it's really difficult for me to put a price target to sell CIEN at... so, I am holding...
