Is there any way to have a CASH balance in the portfolio?

NO..at least there was not a way the last time I asked.

I set up my portfolios at Yahoo! for that very reason...I did not want to wander but I had no choice. What good is a portfolio without cash?? I asked as did others but SI has put their efforts somewhere else or did not see the need or does not know how or considers it a low priority or?

To my surprise I discovered other interesting...long asked for options at Yahoo!.

1. One can set up custom bookmark pages. Put your ten favorite message boards on one page...set up more custom pages with secondary threads as well...these ideas were presented to SI at least a year ago and we are still waiting. Loading the SI bookmark page with a lot of threads is an exercise in patients. I prefer the message content at SI but speed, usability and readability features are important too.

2. Reading Yahoo! reminds me of SI classic. Fonts on SI pages like the subject marks in the new SI are tiny..difficult to read. I can sit comfortably 3 ft from my monitor and read the classic bookmark page...I have to get closer to the screen to read the new SI bookmark page.

It is easy to read the fonts on Yahoo! I can adjust them to my liking the way I could with SI classic...big bold characters on a white background...comfortable reading at a distance.

Will Yahoo! also beat SI to the punch with an advanced message search engine?
