It is a sort of hash of the end of Molly Bloom's soliloquy; as a person who has refused to attend workshops in sexual harassment, I wondered if this e-mail is what they talk about in those workshops.

Hi Neo, had a great day today and wanted to share a bit of it with you.

About a year and a half ago at work I starting looking into where the old computers went after they were replaced. Come to find out they shipped them in trucks about 80 miles away where they were stored in a HUGE warehouse. Once or twice a year an auction would be held where most were practically given away to second hand computer stores. So I got to thinking, since I was helping a few students read at our local Junior High, why not give them to the local schools instead?

Well, if you know anything about bureaucracy in the military the resistance was astounding! I worked for about 8 months on-and-off pounding on the walls of common sense with no avail. I was about to give up when I heard a rumor, then I found it on the net! An executive order signed by President Clinton in 1993 authorizing the direct transfer of military computers to local schools or charities. That was the ticket I needed!

Anyway, to make a long story short. Practically the entire base upgraded to Dell Pentium 500MHZ right around the new year and I have been able to transfer hundreds of computers to various schools in the area! Today, I hauled the last shipment of 40 Pentium 166 computers to a local Junior High.

Sometimes the good guys win. And I have to really give the President credit for being smart enough to sign such a common sense decree!
