ditto on the thanks side Bob. You have opened my eyes on the supply side even though i am 80% technical. Sure would be interesting to be a fly on the wall in a meeting with you and Frank Veneroso one afternoon comparing notes. Would like to know how he comes up with a 100+ tonne per month supply deficit.
Perhaps Bush, "its the economy stupid" and Mulrooney "you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours" are the two quite negative factors on the psyc toward ABX. ie. it will perhaps always be a very heavy weight as long as they are around in their capacities no matter how limited they may be. Certainly the two have probably been instrumental in opening up certain regions. Munk thought he might be a genius taking on the two but it is funny how individuals and fund managers alike in this part of the woods double magnify any con so as to not own the stock. Perhaps it is just a sentiment signal or fact of life in a bear market. The company finally does seem to be hitting the humility button a little as they must be feeling a little bit of fund manager heat as to the much publicized fabulous performance of the company vs that of its stock price.
A group of buddies and i were throwing around the idea of borrowing 50 billion dollars so as to buy out the whole industry and were at the same time wondering why someone has not already done so.
Hope you enjoyed the bantering along side the merci beacoup again.
