John T Clarke,
I agree that XTO needs to stick to its business. They should cash out their investments (preferably while ahead!), buy some stock back and perhaps get a new department head for their hedging (could be some real talent in that department from ABX could be looking for work?).

Not that their hedging was all bad, but as Slider mentioned they have a historic chance to hedge at some fairly high levels. But not to hedge too much!

How about it, should all us XTO investors here email, write and call the company and tell them how we feel. The reaction of stockholders to hedged vs unhedged gold producers (and that is an area where it did make some sense the last few years) is helping change the sentiment in those musty old gold boardrooms as seen in PDG's announcement, AEM's attaboy announcement for PDG and perhaps others to follow. XTO seems to be blaming the stock price on the Institutional investors but there have been a lot of individual investors turned off by their poor equity and hedging performance in the past. Maybe the Big Boys and all us Smaller Boys really all feel the same about this!

Certainly we investors in XTO should help them see the light right there in the boardroom.

Sell the other equities
Buy your own stock instead
Hedge SMART!

I just think this company could be doing so much better than they are with their stock price.

Best Regards,

Roebear
