Andreas, here is a reason. What if DELL results, which are out this
week, are such that the Street falls in love with CPQ again ?

Also, what if CPQ makes an announcement that coincides with the
DELL quarterly and takes advantage of Street's reaction to DELL
earnings ?

:^)

/Piotr

Andreas:
What if Goldman Sachs likes something they see at the show in California? They are one major house sitting on the sidelines looking for a reason to upgrade. What if people suddenly realize that the AV IPO is not that far off? What if Microsoft says windows 2000 orders are better than anticipated(CPQ enjoys a good relationship with msft)? What if people finally realize that cpq is more than a box maker? What if people finally realize that they can buy a piece of a $40B company for $27? Wait til March...NOT

Andreas--- <<"you are a consummate cpq bear">> Not me,, that why I still hold it in the red,, but a realist and know there are few reasons anyone could get interested in the sector and cpq last if the sector takes off,,, no one has been able to give me a reason to believe the stock will see the old high (51) and cannot I guess until the next few months pass and we enter the 1 year anniversity of the sinking ship... If I were not holding both cash and stocks that have actually gone up I would bail --- would have made sense last year at the 5 1/4% money mkt rate-- but the porker still has a bottom of 22 and a top of 35,,, in the next 12-18 months,,, too much talk and not enough fast action,,, and way too few results,,, it will change and the only question is will we live long enough to see it,,, LOL! A cpq bull! Just an honest and realistic one,,,

I thought I told you I was a recent buyer @ 27 5/8.

I wouldn't be selling right now irregardless of what DELL may bring.

Andreas -
Here's my reasoning -
1) Win2K launch - CPQ has always been the premier partner for EVERY MSFT launch since the company was founded, and each time, there was a big boost in awareness of CPQ's leadership role and strong MSFT partnership which translated into sales - why would this time be any different?

2) Capellas has a bogey of $35 or something like that for stock price at the end of march or he loses vesting on a big chunk of options - he must have something up his sleeve.
