James,

"I believe that it's a tad over 30 mil by now. I suggest you mail a contribution to the DOJ to assist them. I'm sure it will give you a warm, fuzzy feeling, knowing that you're helping to save the world from the evil empire."

Have already paid my taxes and they are at work within the DOJ investigating suspect corporations. If the DOJ finds them not guilty and does nothing but prove that they skirted the fine line of the law, then I will easily accept that. Can you accept the fact that they might be guilty?

How much is spent by the government flogging China over software copyright laws? That isn't even within the U.S and I have to pay for the cost of that, both in direct costs and possible loss through trade sanctions. Or is it different when Microsoft is the complainant to a Federal agency? If nobody had complained, the DOJ would not have investigated. They are just doing their job as far as I'm concerned. No conspiracies or fascists to blame for Microsoft's pushing their luck too far.

Cheers,

Norm
