Yes, Justin. Please put me down for a split announcement tomorrow.

Lately splits have been every nine months so we are due for one right now (if recent history is going to repeat itself).

Although we are now at the same price CSCO was the last time it split, investors are getting accustomed to stocks selling for higher prices than ever before. For this reason, I am banking on a split announcement more on timing than share price.

Anyone else have an opinion? I'll tally the results, for the heck of it...

If they don't announce a split then we'll have the same angst we had last year at this time, and we'll have a bit of a selloff. Remember all of the worry that the Cisco board knew something and that Cisco was destined to drop? If you squint at the graph below you can see the run up followed by the worrisome drop at the beginning of last February when Cisco didn't announce a split. Then, if you'll remember, Cisco finally did announced a split and was called "desperate" and the Haters here accused the board of trying to manipulate the stock.

Cisco is up over 100% since then.

I believe that Chambers will announce a split either tomorrow or within a few days. Some time back didn't Cisco wait a few days after the earnings announcement to announce the stock was splitting? Cisco history trivia test....
