Age and the time before traditional retirement, location with its cost of living component, the number of dependents and the length of that dependency, and accustomed lifestyle all play a role in how one measures wealth. Once the realization arrives that you have accumulated enough to become financially independent, what happens next? You certainly wouldn't want to shut down and sit around the house doing nothing.

Wealth does create a different set of problems. Granted those problems don't equate to problems associated with not being wealthy. But perhaps this isn't the proper forum to go into that subject.
