I'm not saying it's too late to run ads for cold remedies, although I think you'll see the pace of ads start to slow down. What I don't understand is why the company would wait to launch a TV campaign until now. Advertising depends on multiple impressions. By the time these ads have had a chance to establish themselves, cold season will pretty much be over. If they were going to start advertising this late, I believe that TV was not a cost effective choice.

Of course, if the ads had started earlier, it would have cut into last quarter's profit report ...
