Just so nobody gets the wrong idea:

1) This SIM data was not available, at least to me, at that time.

2) This thread was not the only place this person's sanity was questioned.

It was just an educated prediction...evidently, it might be a good one :-).

He said: "I don't want to knock copper. If we had used copper it would have been a little bit easier but in manufacturing terms we can do this with aluminium."

I believe he is speaking of designing a five year old core to run at the stated speeds.


What does the age of the core have to do with it? His remarks indicate that PIII would run faster if it had copper.
