(Nasdaq:GRIC - news), a leading provider of value-added Internet services for service providers, including global Internet roaming and VoIP, today announced that it has named Joseph M. Troche as vice president of international carrier sales.
In this capacity, Troche's responsibilities will include managing GRIC's worldwide IP telephony sales force, formalizing various aspects of the company's IP telephony business, and bolstering the company's strong business relationships with its global telecommunications partners.
Troche has 17 years of telecommunications industry experience in voice, data, billing and sales management. Prior to joining GRIC, Troche was vice president of carrier sales for World Access Inc. In less than two years, he built a global sales program that delivered revenues at an annualized rate exceeding $350 million. At World Access, he also secured major customer wins with carriers such as Bell South, Pacific Gateway Exchange (PGE) and Ameritech.
During Troche's telecommunications career, he has been involved in some of the industry's notable acquisitions and mergers including ACT and Microtel, Resurgens Communications Group and Metromedia, and the recent World Access acquisition of Facilicom.
