Midland, Inc. Announces Intent to Declare an Interim Stock Dividend

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 2000--Midland, Inc (OTC:BB MIDL) announced today that it intents to declare an interim stock dividend. The dividend will consist of approximately 1,300,000 common shares of CBQI, Inc. (OTC:BB CBQI) The present value of these shares as based on the closing bid price of $11.625 for CBQI on February 7, 2000, approximated $15,112,500.00 in aggregate market value. The dividend will be made after the restricted legend on the CBQI shares has been removed. It is anticipated this will occur on or immediately after November 19, 2000. The shareholders date of record and ex-date will be announced at the annual shareholder meeting, which will be announced as soon as practical after the filing of the 1999 10KSB. It is anticipated that a registration statement will be filed following the 1999 10KSB to allow the exercise of outstanding warrants. The warrant holders will have the opportunity if they choose to exercise one Midland warrant to acquire one Midland common share for $.50.

Midland is presently not trading and has no operating business. After the filing of the 1999 10KSB, it is the intent of Midland to pursue future corporate opportunities and locate a sponsor to file a 15c211 to allow trading in Midland securities.

The Board of Directors has accepted Mr. Gary Swancey's offer to serve as Midland's interim, voluntary,independent, uncompensated,investor relations contact.

MJXC cool I see they did file yet another, their 3rd, amendment to the SB10 last Friday.

My guess, without calling them, is that these are in response to the comments received back from the SEC. Hope they have it all right this time.
