Yes, these guys have a very adept spinmeister behind them. Notice there is no mention that 4Q revenues were down on a year-over-year basis.

And what about this business of having free cash flow? If cash flow includes the payment of preferred dividends, which it must, then MCLL would have had to reduce capital expenditures to about $15 million or less in the 4Q, after averaging over $25 million for the first three quarters of 1999. Wonder how well that trick is going to work as they prepare to do battle in their new endeavor with the Bell regionals, et. al. who are currently cleaning their clocks.

I agree. That goofball on cnbc was even funny. So they will do something to make up. My guess is that they will tout about next qr's product lines and spin off plan.
