regardless of what event that causes the manufacturer to lose production and sales, it is now, and always will be their sole responsibility as it impacts their bottom line...

one measures the critical nature of production against the cost of redundancy used in the manufacturing process. if i'm a manufacturer such as corning, producing glass fiber, then i know even the remote possibility of a short term utility outage will cause my melters to become a solid mass of fused silica and fire brick, then i insure against same with back up power or cogeneration.

your argument is absurd.....but typical in todays world which looks toward reason or lack of it to evade being responsible
