ICICI Bank to hold 30% in venture with Sify
(Friday, January 21, 2000)

Amit Prasad in Mumbai

ICICI Bank would only be taking up to 30 per cent stake in its joint venture with Satyam Infoway (Sify) called Icicisify.com. This is due to the RBI regulations which do not permit banks to take more then 30 per cent stake. Sify will be picking up 50 per cent as was agreed earlier and the remaining 20 per cent stake would be picked up by another subsidiary of ICICI Ltd.
