<<Aunt Nancy has become a dedicated Gorilla gamer over the last year.... She views daily prices and portfolio value as items of passing interest, preferring to focus on changes in the fundamentals of our Gorillas. She is a strong believer in the stories behind Q, the Gem, and NTAP, and wouldn't dream of parting from any of them. How are you doing with tekgirl <gg>?>>

Somewhat similar. She is a far more stable LTB&Her than I am (which apparently is true of women in general compared to men, altho obviously not in all cases), and thus is more immune to short-term fluctuations. Also, she's more conservative, and thus has no margin, which makes it easier to ignore short-term dips. And she buys into the Q story completely now, altho she's still from Missouri when it comes to the Gem. In general, she's extremely happy with her returns, and amazed at what I've been able to do over the last 6 mos (she was sure it was gambling that would end badly quickly).

That said, affluence brings its own problems--the so-called "revolution of rising expectations." She needles me regularly these days about how her account hasn't yet gotten back to its beginning-of-the-year highs, and now expects me to continue performing my magic on a regular basis. I tell her, "hey, Franq and co. have gotten fat and lazy, the stock tips have gone down in quality, what can I do? I feel like Jack Lemmon in Glengarry Glen Ross--they won't give me the good leads any more!"

PS oh, and she's still not forgiven me for making her sell her beloved ERICY, which promptly shot up afterwards...
