You aren't missing anything...D Swiss made a mistake in saying he was agreeing with LoF...He was actually agreeing with me that selling puts is a bullish strategy, or a view that the stock is bottoming...If you are bearish, you would buy the put, or write calls...Very basic concepts, but LoF is belligerent and refuses to think this through...No need to take this any further...

rudedog, I thought LoF was playing with TRCM's head. I guess I didn't read TRCM's post carefully enough. He understands that selling puts is bullish.
