I understand the scruple. I often am simply not interested, but there are some, such as "Roots", that catch my attention......Anyway, Bob Mitchum was especially good as a Naval officer who gets used by President Roosevelt as a back channel intelligence officer, and whose family gets caught in various harrowing situations. One of his sons marries a Jewish- American woman who gets trapped in Europe, and ultimately sent to Auschwitz......

Oh, definitely not then. I never watch mini series I can't stand knowing that I might miss an episode once it starts. I would consider renting them, however, so that I could compulsively go from one to the next until finished.

I bought "Lonesome Dove". Gotta have 5 hours to watch it.
