OT Brian.....October 9, 1998....the biggest gift ever for anyone wanting to hold Cisco (and most big-cap techs)........you may recall....Cisco was down, something like 10/11 days in a row (off 30%).....the world was going to hell in a handbasket (so the media told us...because of Long-Term capital, Brazil, Russia, and every other place)....Bears appearing everywhere (with big smiles on their faces)........AND the market tanked hard early that morn...just pummeling everything- big and small tech stock in sight.........(at least for the first hour/hour and half, that is...) That was the day (the morning) I decided to buy Cisco (for the first- and actually, only time)...was at 21 1/8...IMO, That will probably turn out to be the buying op. of my lifetime! (Lucky me..)..BTW- It was also the 1st time I ever used margin! (Had I only bought leaps instead <G>) As my stomach churned (and there was serious panic on SI), I remember I kept repeating to myself, "You gotta buy when there is blood on the Streets"....my how things have changed! <G> Congrats to you and all Cisco longs today...
