I wouldn't put too much faith in what the anal-ysts are saying about LU. They would like us to believe that the company is in turmoil.

Now it is true that there has been some restructuring. . .and they have been blowing out their "old" technology. . . .but I think you have to ask yourself why. . . .I think that Lucent is gearing up for some fantastic "all-optical" products that will turn the industry on its ears. . .and there are a number of old guard players at Lucent that have become dead weight.

I believe this company will soon sort out its problems and make certain that the factories can handle the demand for future products. . . . .

Remember LPTHA's news yesterday? The CEO went to Japan to sign a deal where the factory there is spending 5 mil to tool up to accommodate the coming demand for LPTHA's products. Are these affiliated with Lucent? I don't know. . .but it shows that such problems can be solved fairly easily.

Hey, leave LU for dead?. . . no problem. I'll be buying it up in the 40's for super long-term. .
