JSB: BGC 4th Q earnings report tomorrow @ 6PM. Still in it? (I think it was you that mentioned something about it a few weeks back) Hope the news is positive 'cause I am.

The Red Violin is a great flick. Try it. Of course I'm a little biased being a string player...

The main problem I had w/ Top Gun was that the "real" bad guys at the end of the movie were flying T-38's (F-5's?) or Sky Hawks or F8U's--been a long time so don't remember exactly. Sure weren't no furrin' planes anyway. I mean if they could pay Tom Cruise's salary they could find some old MIG-21's or 23's laying around for cryin' out loud. Oh yeah, I forgot. We were still in the cold war. Although I read later that we had a squadron of MIG's that were used in the real Top Gun school.

I used to throw popcorn at the screen in the 50's when F-80's would take off (straight wing) to fight some monster in a B movie and morph into F-86's (swept wing) for the next shot in the air--now that REALLY made it difficult to suspend disbelief. <<gg>>.
