Cisco passes GE:

.... The increase pushed Cisco ahead of General Electric
Co., making it the world's second-most valuable company.
``It's a blowout,' said Patrick Houghton, an analyst at
Sutro & Co., who rates Cisco a ``strong buy.' Boosting revenue
growth ``gets harder and harder as you get bigger and bigger, but
they keep managing to do it,' he said.

Cisco's revenue rose to $4.35 billion, more than analysts'
forecasts for $4.02 billion. The increase was the eighth straight
quarter of rising sales growth, spurred by telecommunications
companies and Internet service providers purchases of Cisco
routers, switches and software to handle electronic commerce and
Internet hookups....
