Imaging Diagnostic Receives its Third Patent: 'Method For Reconstructing the Image of an Object Scanned With a Laser Imaging Apparatus'
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Imaging Diagnostic Systems Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: IMDS) announced today that the Company's patent application for the reconstruction algorithm has been granted by the United States Department of Commerce, Patent and Trademark office. The patent assigned to the Company protects the proprietary algorithms developed for the Computed Tomography Laser Mammography (CTLM(TM)) breast imaging device.

The Company currently holds two other patents. The first patent is for the laser scanning apparatus and the second is for the fluorescence imaging technique. This latest patent along with the laser scanning patent and the fluorescence imaging patent contain the key components of the Company's CT Laser mammography system.

Imaging Diagnostic Systems is currently conducting FDA clinical trials at Nassau County Medical Center and The University of Virginia Medical Center. These clinical studies are required to collect the essential data for the submission of the PMA application.

Imaging Diagnostic System has developed the world's first patented laser- based breast imaging device that utilizes patented algorithms and state-of- the-art laser technology to create contiguous cross sectional slice images of the breast without the use of breast compression or ionizing radiation.
