Kash, <Remember that Intels products as recently as the PIII Katmai had excellent availability AND was indeed selling like hotcakes.>

Demand wasn't "sky-high" back then. I don't see how this relates.

<Now we will likely see over 2M K7's sold in Q1 2000.>

Does that mean AMD is ramping down the volumes of K6 this quarter? Obviously they can't continue to sell 5M K6-2's if they want to increase their sales of Athlon to 2M. Dresden still doesn't count yet, since they're not ramping up until Q2 at the earliest.

kash;

While I think AMD will grow nicely for the next quarter or two or three..They are nowhere in the business market!! Absolutely 0...no server business...and while many on this thread will say "Yeah but they can only go up from there" That is a huge issue...the sweet spot in consumer market in my mind is around $799.00. Own both stocks and plan your AMD exit strategy for around October...hold Intel forever!!

Jim:

Regarding an earlier post....how about CNXT lately? :) Oh... and XLNX...VBG!!!
