from son of "can we call it a rally?" file........

The portfolio "2000" was established with "value" stocks, in anticipation of a market correction at the beginning of year 2000. The correction never came, but the portfolio is up 129% since being established on 12/29.

I realize that bragging about +129% would be silly given the rally that we've had, but I thought that it was sort of humorous that this sort of return could be had from an attempt to find value in the sector rather than momentum.

As always, initial basis was $100K. A small profit was taken from a short position in CMDX, thus the delta in basis as shown. There were some VERY good suggestions given in this thread for what to do with the $4K that I never mobilized, so if I hadn't been so lazy, we'd probably be up even more.

Amazing rally. We've got a discussion going in the BVF thread, trying to find stocks that are still fundamentally undervalued. Looks like Biowa has volunteered to make a list.
