Dan, it must have been very inspiring to hear the testimony of Bruce Marchiano and some of the others you mentioned.

he said as a parent, think about how you might react if your child one minute had a terrible disease, and the next minute did not. Would you not be jumping for joy?

I can think about it as being both the parent and the child, and the love each feels for the other is more glorious than we can comprehend. But I have caught a glimpse of that pure Love from time to time, with the help of the Holy Spirit and the Grace of our Lord. I have never known anything in my life that was this "Real and True". Like being struck by lightening, but in a good way. Searing my soul with overflowing Love, Joy and Peace, there could never be any doubt. How can you explain this to people who are arguing about the "Exact" meaning of certain scriptures? The Holy Spirit will rip away the curtains, yank off the blinders and pop the corks out of the ears. The Truth will be blazing in front of people's eyes. An experience like this leaves no room for doubt.

Imagine you and a co-worker are knocked to the ground while working on the roads, by a storm. Power is out, no electricity, cell phones don't work, transmitting tower is knocked out. But a steamroller is running and coming your way. Are the two of you going to sit on the ground, while the steamroller is barreling at you and talk about the make, model of it, what kind of power it runs on, etc. Or would you stop arguing, jump on the machine, take control of it, and steer it away from some frightened school children who are in it's path?

I don't know if that's the best analogy, but for some reason it came to my mind. I'm glad that you know me well enough to understand my intentions.

God Bless,
Lew
