OTOhio Planning Manufacturing Centre to Help Indian Smes Wednesday, February 9 7:07 AM SGT NEW DELHI, Feb 9 Asia Pulse - US state Ohio is planning to set up a centre for manufacturing excellence in north India to assist small and medium enterprises in redesigning and restructuring their product lines. The Centre, which would be supported by multinationals and Research and Development centres from Ohio State, would focus on infusing technological innovations and designing and developing prototypes, a PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry release said. It would also look into making vocational training institutes relevant to current industry needs and adapting low cost pollution control technologies from Ohio based companies, it said. (PTI)
