Remember what i said about the new NYSE/S and P global fund that is going trade like a share on the NYSE. That happens much later in the year.

However, we have mutual funds trying to get a head start. In effect, they will start buying the companies in their mutual funds; basically tracking them. It should be good for NT. At least it would cushion any fallout from Toronto Index weighting problems that could come up later--after the stock dividend from BCE. I don't think that was even a problem but this new index will push NT into more investors' portfolios.

At least it cannot hurt the stock. IMHO, the effect of this global index is underestimated for the time being. It will become an important benchmark, just like the S and P 500.
