he has an article on it somewhere on si. mike sets aside a certain amount of assets in his options portfolio. depends on the market conditions, track losses - you know, that sort of thing ;-)

let's say 40% of all investable $ are set aside for options playing. of that 40%, mike allocates 90% in an interest bearing account and uses 10% to speculate on options. the 90% grows to 94-95% so if he loses all of his option plays then he is down 5-6%.

the 10% is invested using a strategy, too. it should last all year so he doesn't put 10% on one play. depending on market gyrations, a lot of the 10% might be invested or a little may be invested.

there is more to it than this, but this should give you an idea...
