<Let's make a bet. How fast do you think Willamette will run during the demo next week? Attach any conditions necessary.>

I will bet you that the FPU will not run faster than 700MHz.

How much do you want to bet?

Kap

Tench - RE: "Let's make a bet. How fast do you think Willamette will run during the demo next week? Attach any conditions necessary."

If its different units were to run at different speeds (as has been speculated on this thread) would you look at the fastest speed?

Hi Tenchusatsu:

Re: "Let's make a bet. How fast do you think Willamette will run during the demo next week?"

Don't know...Don't care...Intel has been talking for months about PWEeeIII 733's and 800's inundating the market. Haven't seen them and until I do, it hasn't happenned...Same goes for Willy!

What I do know is that AMD has ample supply of "spry Athy" 800's at retail...It has happenned...therefore I am very interested!

Local store Adds on Long Island showing three 800 MHz PIIIs
HP Pavilion
A-Open
Some third tier name that escapes me

The A-Open was about $1750 and loaded.
The HP was about $2250 also loaded.

So I would imagine they are now beginning to appear at a store near you.
