CA enterprise software and IBM business line machines to support those Gigahertz plus copper processors. A dramatic lead in the marketplace can have funny effects in the high tech industry, even after the lead has begun to fade - just ask Microsoft and Intel. You know that halo effect that lets Intel get an extra $50 to $200 for its processors in a given category? What if someone takes that halo away? Dan
