Are you talkin to me? Are YOU talkin to me? I didn't think so. <<ggg>> I know better than to gloat. For every good pick, I know you can probably find 0.4 of mine that I touted that didn't end up so good. Actually, my own up/down tally was more like 80/20 but I'm still working on limiting that downside thang. so I had a couple of individual losers that wiped out several smaller gains. Good points though.

Dale
Good post. From my own perspective you've hit the nail exactly. As you know I've stayed away from i'net stocks like the plague. Yup it cost me, what, me worry? Nope. the flying nets just don't sit well in my comfort zone.

On the other hand I've profited very well from stocks that have been mentioned here. (Jeff, BINC has been a considerable pleasure lately ;-))

I also do oil stocks and have mentioned a few from time to time. If there are no takers so be it. Just differing styles.

I am in fact up 30+% ytd using a combination of this thread's picks as well as the private site (what a misnomer that is, its FREE folks and sometimes damn entertaining), along with a pay site I use for charting.

The end result is I feel I've got a decent distribution and pick and choose the stocks that FIT my style no matter who mentions them.

rgds to all

Ah geez Dale you just burst my bubble about you. I thought you had an endless money pit backing you up and could just pick up on every single stock you wanted.<vbg>

Agree it was a good post and yes there have been excellent picks on this thread.

I like that we all have our own investment styles and favorite areas of the market. Because of that, we are in a position to stress to the thread ones that we feel are exceptional in our given area/s.

I like turnarounds, good ones are always undervalued. Also like beaten down due to bad or underperformance in earnings for a Q or two but future is good and fundies are good. Then there is always cutting edge tech that has now reached it time.

Having a great year here.

Thanks to everyone on the thread, great group.

:-)
JD

PS. JSB, see I told you it was a good movie, not just a chick flick. <ggg>
