India Business Briefs: Crompton Greaves On Internet Bid cgl.co.in Wednesday, February 9 1:59 PM SGT NEW DELHI (Dow Jones)--A six-member consortium led by consumer manufacturer Crompton Greaves Ltd. (P.CGL) bid for the second phase of a 1 billion rupees ($1=43.60) national Internet backbone project of the Department of Telecom Services. SGI India Ltd., as part of the Crompton Greaves bid, has submitted a bid for supplying high-end servers in this project, a senior SGI official said Tuesday, according to Press Trust of India.
