I like this part about the HP release:

"HP is pleased to announce Agilent, Emulex, JNI and QLogic as the first HBA vendors"

"HP also offers BROCADE's SilkWorm 2800 as part of HP's infrastructure product offering."

It sounds like if you read between the lines, maybe they are saying the following:

HP also reluctantly offers this "stubborn warthog" company over here, called Brocade that fights interoperability on all sides. The only reason we are doing this is so our customers that have IBM products will be happy. Once we get our 1st choice switch supplier qualified we will be very pleased to announce it as our vendor of choice.

This is great, KJ. HP's open SAN Initiative will OEM the 'enrollees.' Kind of like Sears Automotive 'enrolling' Michelin and Firestone. "Hi, we're HP. We don't make some of the things in your SAN, but we do sell them."

SANbox up next? If it sells to some needs, why the hell not 'enroll' it.
